10-year-old killed after van crashes into building in Bangor

Bangor police say a 10-year-old was killed when the van they were in crashed into a building.

Police say they responded to the crash on Harlow Street in Bangor around 6:40 p.m. Saturday. The vehicle being driven by 49-year-old Stephen Fiddie of Hermon had come to a stop after striking a building.

The front passenger, 50-year-old Holly Fiddie of Levant, was extricated from the vehicle.

10-year-old Micah Fiddie was also removed from the rear passenger seat.

All 3 occupants were taken to a local medical care facility, where Micah Fiddie passed away.

In a press release, Sgt. Wade Betters says the department sends their deepest condolences to the family.

The crash is still under investigation.
