2 juveniles taken into custody after stolen car hits police cruiser in Lewiston

Three people are wanted after a stolen car crashed into a police cruiser Monday night in Lewiston.

Police tried to stop the car for erratic driving in downtown Lewiston, leading to a chase that ended when the driver crashed into a cruiser near Bartlett and Birch Streets.

Police say five people ran from the scene and two of them, both juveniles, were caught.

One of the people threw a replica gun while fleeing.

The investigation is ongoing.
