21-Year-Old Has Life Threatening Injuries in Cumberland Co. Crash

A 21-year-old has life-threatening injuries from a two-vehicle crash on Pequawket Trail in Baldwin just after 5 pm on Thursday.

Deputies say a 2019 Ford F-150 pickup driven by Ashton Harding of Denmark was trying to pass a 2013 Subaru Outback driven by 20-year-old Sebastian Mull of Baldwin when the two vehicles hit each other, lost control, and veered off the road.

Harding was flown to Maine Medical Center in Portland with life-threatening injuries while Mull was not injured.

The crash is being investigated by the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division, the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office Crash Reconstruction Unit and the Windham Police Department Crash Reconstruction Unit.

Pequawket Trail was shut down in the area of the crash for a time.

Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office Captain Kerry Joyce said more information would be released when the integrity of the investigation. could be maintained.
