9-car crash in Bangor leaves one person with minor injuries

One person was hospitalized with minor injuries as a result of a 9-car crash in Bangor on Thursday morning.

Public information officer Shannon Moss says the crash happened around 8:40 a.m. in the left lane of I-95 northbound near mile marker 183.

Investigators say a vehicle heading north suddenly stopped in the passing lane while a state trooper was conducting a traffic stop on the left side. That caused a second vehicle to get rear-ended, leading to a multi-vehicle crash.

The initial car that stopped was not hit and continued driving. Police were not able to get a description of that vehicle.
