The body of a paddleboarder who went missing on Graham Lake in Ellsworth earlier this month has been recovered.

The Bangor Daily News reports that the body of 20-year-old Grayson Mote was found by a family member a little less than a quarter of a mile from shore.

Mote went missing on May 5th after leaving his family’s camp to go paddleboarding and didn’t return for over an hour and a half.

He was not wearing a personal floatation device at the time.

After being brought to shore by authorities, Mote was transported to the state’s medical examiner’s office.
