Bowdoin College is 5th Best in Country

Bowdoin College in Brunswick tied for the fifth best liberal arts college in the country.

US News & World Report released its 2026 Best National Liberal Arts Colleges rankings today, and Bowdoin College and the U.S. Air Force Academy tied for fifth place.

The top two liberal arts colleges are both in Massachusetts
– WIlliams and Amherst colleges.

Bowdoin College also ranks high for Best Value Schools and Undergraduate Teaching.

Only 7 percent of applicants are accepted to Bowdoin College.
