Employee Arrested After Reported Assault at Group Home in Hermon

A 26-year-old Bangor man faces felony charges after being accused of assaulting a resident at a residential group home in Hermon on Saturday.

Penobscot County deputies say Innocent Muzungu is an employee at the home who assaulted the victim, who was taken to a hospital.

They say Muzungu was taken to the Penobscot County jail on the felony charge of Endangering the Welfare of a Dependent Person and two misdemeanor charges.

Deputies did not identify the residential group home where the reported assault took place or give any details on the victim’s injuries.

They say they were called to the scene at 4:50 pm Saturday.
