FBI Seizes $470,000 in Crypto Scam

Two Mainers are getting a sum of their money back after falling victim to a cryptocurrency scam.

In an announcement on Friday, the Department of Justice stated that two victims lost over $800,000 in cryptocurrency.

CBS 13 News reports the FBI seized $470,000 of that money and will be returning it to the victims,

The Maine U.S. Attorney’s Office is reminding people to remain on the side of caution when dealing with transactions of cryptocurrency.
