The popular trolley service that runs between Kennebunk and the Wells-Ogunquit town line will not operate this summer season because of a lack of licensed drivers.

According to CBS 13 News, Assistant Transportation Director Debra Paradis says the Blue Line trolley service is having trouble recruiting and hiring enough licensed CDL drivers. The service didn’t run last summer for the same reason.

The trolley is run through Shoreline Explorer, which hopes to double service on the Orange Line between Sanford and Wells and extend the route to Wells Beach.
