A convenience store in downtown Lewiston was shut down while police investigated a shooting Tuesday afternoon.
According to the Sun Journal, police were seen with long guns and dogs near the Acme Club on Park Street around 3 p.m.
A witness said a person had been shot at the Getty Mart on Lisbon Street, which was shut down.
Police were later seen surrounding an apartment on Park Street using a loudspeaker to coax a suspect out around 3:25 p.m.
There was no word on any arrests or victims.
