House Fire - Lewiston Fire Department

Lewiston firefighters are crediting a quick response to preventing widespread damage from a house fire Tuesday.

Crews were sent to a home on Bushey Circle at 11:18 am, and say they arrived in four minutes to find smoke coming from the roofline.

They say they used specialized tools to quickly locate the fire in the ceiling and empty space before extinguishing it.

A Lewiston Fire Investigation team determined the fire was caused by an issue with a woodstove and is not considered suspicious.

No injuries were reported.

Firefighters say they had the fire extinguished, cleaned up, and were ready for the next incident within an hour.
