Lewiston Police Use Drones, K-9 to Track Down Suspected Bank Robber

A 46-year-old man faces charges after Lewiston Police say he was caught with the help of drones after a bank robbery.

Police say Donald White demanded cash from a teller at Maine Family Credit Union on Sabattus Street on Tuesday afternoon.

Officers say they eventually tracked down White with the help of drones and a K-9 team from the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency.

White was arrested and charged with robbery, theft by unauthorized taking, and violating conditions of release.

The Lewiston Police Department says the bank robbery took place at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday.
