A lobster boat crew rescued a man who fell from rocks and landed in the ocean in York Monday morning.

York Beach Fire and Rescue says the man fell from rocks near the southern end of Bald Head Cliff.

The Bangor Daily News says the man was 30 to 50 feet from shore by the time first responders arrived.

They were able to make contact with a nearby lobster boat.

The crew onboard made their way to the man and helped him out of the water.

The man was taken to Perkins Cove and evaluated.

York Beach Fire and Rescue thanked the lobster boat crew and said the crew prevented the man from becoming hypothermic or even drowning.
