Maine man indicted on attempted murder and other charges for hitting police cruiser in Bar Harbor

A man accused of leading police on a chase and crashing into a police cruiser in Bar Harbor in April has been indicted for attempted murder.

According to the Bangor Daily News, 23-year-old Riley McClure was indicted Thursday on 14 charges.

McClure was accused of striking a stopped cruiser, causing severe damage to both vehicles but no serious injuries.

McClure was also accused of assaulting staff at the hospital afterwards.

He faces up to 30 years behind bars for the attempted murder charge.
