Maine man who made millions in illegal marijuana operation sentenced

An Auburn man has been sentenced to more than four years in prison for his role in a massive marijuana trafficking operation.

According to the Sun Journal, 38-year-old Brian Bilodeau was sentenced Wednesday to 50 months in prison and fined $50,000. He was sentenced for his role in a large-scale marijuana trafficking operation that violated federal and state laws.

Bilodeau and his co-conspirators cultivated and sold marijuana under the guise of the Maine Medical Marijuana Program. According to prosecutors, Bilodeau’s enterprise netted more than $9 million over four years.
