Maine State Police Seek Help With 50-Year-Old Arson Death

Maine State Police are asking for public help to solve a 50-year-old case involving the death of a person found inside a set on fire.

Police say they found a burned-out green 1971 Chrysler station wagon with Massachusetts registration on a road off Route 9 in Amherst.

The burned body of a white man, James Cassidy of Brookline, Massachusetts, was found inside the car, and the cause of death was arson.

Officers say Cassidy was an executive at the Brookline, Massachusetts Trust Company.
