Penobscot County man in court after police chase reached speeds over 100 mph

Police say a Charleston man exceeded 100 miles per hour during a chase with police.

Police say 27-year-old Jermaine Killian was speeding on Broadway just outside of Bangor on Wednesday and sped away after an officer tried to pull him over.

Killian crashed about 9 miles away in Corinth after reaching speeds of over 100 mph and suffered minor injuries.

Killian appeared in court on Friday to answer to charges of eluding an officer, driving to endanger and violating conditions of release.
