Police seek 2 men wanted in ATM jackpotting scheme in Maine

Police in Lincoln County are searching for two suspects wanted for taking money from ATMs in February.

Lincoln County Deputies say three men withdrew money from ATMs at stores in Maine’s Midcoast following a widespread cyberattack, in a crime known as ATM jackpotting.

One man, 26-year-old Nurmukhammad Rakhmonda of Tajikistan, was taken into custody the following month in South Carolina after police discovered he was using a false identity.

Police say he was charged with felony theft and criminal conspiracy in Lincoln County, felony theft in Hancock County and misdemeanor theft in Waldo County.

Police are still looking for 36-year-old Milad Avazdavani of Iran and 35-year-old Firdavs Jonmahmadovic Radzhabov from Tajikistan.
