Portland Man Accused of Intentionally Hitting Bicyclist in Lewiston

A 29-year-old Portland man faces numerous charges after police say he intentionally hit a bicyclist with his vehicle in Lewiston.

Officers say Gage Gagne drove a 1999 silver Honda Accord over the curb and hit the 35-year-old victim at 162 Bartlett Street on Sunday afternoon.

They say they quickly determined the incident was intentional after speaking with witnesses and reviewing evidence.

The victim, who has not been named, has minor injuries.

Gagne faces the following charges:

• Operating Under the Influence
• Reckless Conduct with a Dangerous Weapon
• Violation of Conditions of Release

Police say more charges are expected.
