Portland man dies after getting hit by vehicle

A Portland man was killed when he was hit by a vehicle on Tuesday.

The crash happened around 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at the intersection of Marginal Way and Preble Street.

The victim, a 49-year-old Portland man, died after being rushed to Maine Medical Center.

Their identity was being withheld Tuesday afternoon while police notified his family.

The driver is an 82-year-old Portland man.

There’s been no word yet of any charges.

The crash is still under investigation.
