President Trump has given his endorsement to former Maine Gov. Paul LePage for his run in Maine’s 2nd Congressional District.

In a Truth Social post on Thursday, the President said LePage would make a “tremendous congressman.”

LePage is running in a hotly-contested district which Trump carried in each of his three runs for the White House.

Incumbent Democratic Congressman Jared Golden announced last month he would not be seeking re-election in the 2nd District.
