Human remains that were found in Aroostook County last month have been identified as a mother of two who went missing in July.

The remains found on Oct. 30 in Blaine were identified Wednesday as those of 36-year-old Tomis Hoyt of the Presque Isle area, who was last seen on Robinson Road in Mars Hill.

No other details about the investigation have been released.

Hoyt is among several women reported missing in northern Maine, but her sister told the Bangor Daily News she doesn’t believe Hoyt’s disappearance is related to the others.
