Rockland Extends Warming Shelter Hours With Single Digit Lows Monday

The city of Rockland is extending the operations of an emergency warming shelter at the Flanagan Community Center through Monday.

The shelter is open from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m., according to the Rockland Police Department.

It’s open to anyone and is offering two meals, including dinner and breakfast, as well as showers and bedding.

Monday night lows are expected to dip into the single digits across Maine, with a low of 8 in Portland and 7 in Rockland.

People are asked use the double doors at the rear of the Flanagan Community Center to access the warming shelter. More information is available by calling (207) 230-4258.
