A Scarborough woman died in a single-vehicle crash in Pittsfield.

Troopers arrived at the scene of the crash on I-95 northbound early Monday morning, where the vehicle driven by 56-year-old Rae Hartford had gone into the median and became lodged in the trees.

She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators believe speed and intoxication were likely factors in the crash.
