Some messages about climate change are back on display at Acadia National Park after a judge ordered the Trump administration to restore signage Friday.
An order issued by President Donald Trump last year instructed the National Park Service to pull displays the administration deemed disparaging to America.
The Bangor Daily News reports some displays at Acadia had been restored on Monday while others had not.
The judge’s order calls for removed display in national parks to be restored by July 3rd. The judge’s order comes after environmentalists sued the Trump administration in February over what they called “a sustained campaign to erase history and undermine science.”
According to the Bangor Daily News, several displays including an installation at the Sieur de Monts Nature Center about power plant emissions that produce mercury, had not been restored by Monday.
