Stabbing incident in downtown Portland leads to hospitalization, arrest

One person has been arrested after a stabbing in the downtown area last (Saturday) night.

The incident occurred near Longfellow Square, with a 45-year-old male victim being taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

This is the second time in 6 months someone has been stabbed in the area.

After an investigation, police have arrested 44-year-old Stephanie Vierkant, who’s currently unhoused, on charges of domestic violence aggravated assault.
