Two 18-year-old Portland men face felony charges after being accused of robbing two people at Bug Light Park in South Portland back on Easter Sunday.

South Portland Police say Jeissey Blash Khamis and Mogga Wani Yanga knew the victims and used a gun to hit one of them during the robbery, although it was not fired.

Officers say SWAT teams from Portland and South Portland assisted them in a search at two addresses (1344 Washington Avenue and 93 Harris Avenue) and a local college in Portland, where Khamis and Yanga were arrested on Wednesday, April 23.

Both men face felony counts of Robbery, Aggravated Assault, and Theft. They were both taken to Cumberland County Jail, and bail was originally set at $10,000 cash. Both subjects were arraigned in Portland on Friday, April 25. Khamis was released on $1,000 cash bail, and Yanga was released on $300 cash bail.

South Portland Police said they think the robbery was a standalone incident not related to any other recent crime.
