U.S. Marshal’s help locate, arrest Wells man wanted for attempted murder

A Wells man wanted for attempted murder was taken into custody with the help of U.S. Marshals.

The U.S. Marshal Service says 22-year-old Emmanuel Diggs had a warrant issued for his arrest for attempted murder.

Wells Police responded to a report of an incident involving a firearm that happened Friday evening at a home on Littlefield Road in Wells. Based on an investigation, a warrant was issued for Diggs, who was taken into custody without incident Monday night at a gas station in Wells.

The U.S. Marshal’s Service, Wells Police and the Maine Violent Offender Task Force coordinated their efforts to find and apprehend Diggs.
