Woman Killed in Portland Hit-And-Run

Police are searching for a driver in connection to a deadly hit-and-run in Portland Monday night.

Police say a pedestrian was hit by a vehicle around 9:20 p.m. near Forest Avenue and Riverside Street.

They say a 57-year-old woman was found dead at the scene. Her name has not yet been released.

Witnesses say the woman was crossing Forest Avenue when she was hit by a dark colored pickup truck, which fled the scene inbound on Forest Avenue.

An investigation is ongoing.

Police are asking anyone who witnessed the crash, has information about the incident, or may have surveillance, dashcam, doorbell, or other video from the area at the time of the crash to contact investigators.

Anyone who may have seen the suspect vehicle before or after the crash, or who may have information that could assist with the investigation, is asked to call 207-874-8575.
