Dec 26, 2025 Custom House Wharf Fire in Portland/Maine State Fire Marshall

101.9 WPOR want to help the fishermen and businesses that suffered extensive losses from the December 26th fire on the Portland waterfront.

A boat repair shop was deemed a total loss, while there was heavy damage to Nanqu Kayaks, Maritime Antiques, and the Sea Bags factory store. Numerous boats tied to the wharf sustained damage from the fire, including one that sank.

The Maine Coast Fisherman’s Association says donations go directly to those impacted by the flames. They are in communication with local fishermen to understand the extent of the damage, and identify how best to support impacted fishing businesses in the days, weeks, and months ahead.

100% of your donation will support those affected by the fire, minus processing fees charged by online donation platforms. Give today to help the relief effort.
