William Wolchesky, a Korean war veteran who served in the Army from 1951 and achieved the rank of Corporal. In May of 1952 he was deployed to Korea and remained on the front lines until the Summer of 1953.
On March 3rd 2016 he attended a ceremony where he received the Korean Ambassadors Medal of Peace, an award that South Korea gives to American War Vets as an expression of appreciation from the South Korean government to US service men and women who served in the Korean conflict.
Attending the ceremony with William was his life-long wife Lena Wolchesky, Daughter Jan Wolchesy, Son William Wolchesky Jr., Grandson Matt Rondeau, and many more proud friends and family. Truly a day to be proud for William Wolchesky, and a reminder to us all that the brave men and women who serve this nation every day deserve nothing but the utmost respect and gratitude from each and every one of this nations citizens.
