Two students at Emerson College in Boston (including a Gorham High School graduate) have come up with a fundraiser for the OneFund charity set up by the Governor of Massachusetts.
Gorham native Nicholas Reynolds and his fellow Emerson College classmate, Chris Dobens, created T-shirts with the words “Boston Strong” through an online printing agency.
Their goal was to sell 110 shirts at $20 each, to raise money for marathon victims. Already they’ve sold almost 4,000 shirts and have raised almost $75,000 (as of 5am Thursday 4/18).
After the first 1500 shirts (which were donated) each shirt sends $15 dollars to the One Fund, and $5 goes to production costs. So: 42,288 shirts -> $641,820 (April 26 update)
