Today, March 14, 2016, we at WPOR had the privilege to have country singer Tucker Beathard in studio where he hung with the POR Morning Crew as well as played us a few acoustic songs.

While in, Tucker made a point during conversation that is an inspiration to all of us, where he said that he was doing what he loved, and he is extremely lucky to be able to go around writing and playing music for his fans.

The doors of both music and sports were all cracked open for Tucker.  He was a promising athlete as well as a talented song writer.  He also boasts the ability to play not only guitar, but drums and vocals as well.  If that wasn’t enough, he also could have done a lot with a promising sports career, but decided the night prior to moving forward with that career to instead pursue what he truly love, music.

So let that be a lesson to us all.  I mean sure, we don’t have career options like this available to us all, but whatever challenges or opportunities arise in out lives, let it be known that sometimes following your heart and passion is the best choice, rather than being stuck in a decision we later regret.  Follow your heart and do what will make the short time you have on our dear planet the happiest they can be!
