Drug Take-Back Day is scheduled from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 26, at dozens of sites drop-off locations in the Greater Portland area, mostly at police departments.

The last Take Back Day in October 2018 brought in 914,236 pounds of unused, expired, or unwanted drugs across the nation.

A recent study shows that a majority of abused prescription drugs were obtained from family and friends, often from the home medicine cabinet.
