Help Rescue Charlie’s Friends!

Here at POR, we are massive animal lovers. We are so grateful for those who spend their time helping animals in need & lending their voice to the voiceless.

That’s why  POR is proud to announce that we are partnering with Rescue Charlie’s Friends – a Maine nonprofit dog rescue – to promote their adoptable doggies every week AND to help them raise money for their badly-needed new Rescue Building.

What is Rescue Charlie’s Friends?

Rescue Charlie’s Friends is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) all-breed dog rescue based out of Woolwich, Maine. They were established in 2018 and in a few short years went from rescuing a few dogs at a time to over 60 dogs per month!

Rescue Charlie’s Friends has already adopted over 500 dogs into loving, forever homes in Maine. These were dogs that may have lost their homes due to flood, fire, and hurricanes or were rescued from being abandoned, neglected, or abused.

This Rescue has a bus and transports 60 dogs at a time up from Alabama – when the bus arrives they need a space where the dogs can get a bath, some exercise, and some lovins while they await their Fosters & permanent homes.

This is where YOU come in!

Maine weather is unpredictable & unforgiving. Winter is coming quickly. Rescue Charlie’s Friends needs a facility with heat & warm water to house their rescues, receive transports, adoptions, fundraising & rescue events.

Because of this growing need, the time has come to have our very own building so we can have an even greater impact and save more dogs like Charlie.

Will you help Rescue Charlie’s Friends achieve their dream?

Rescue Charlie’s Friends Dog of the Week!

12/09/2020

This week’s adoptable Dog of the Week from Rescue Charlie’s Friends is this Mama – Sterling!

Sterling is a two year old shepherd/pyrenees mix.  She’s a sweet mama dog with a few beautiful puppies that will also be adopted when they get to Maine. She had a skin condition when she was first rescued but the vets fixed her up & now she’s looking much better!

Do you have room in your heart for this beauty? Check out more info on how to adopt her right here: Rescue Charlie’s Friends – Dog Rescue in Maine

This week’s adoptable Dog of the Week from Rescue Charlie’s Friends is Zeus! What a CUTIE! We’re in love.

Zeus is a year and a half old & weighs about 55 lbs. He is very playful but a little nippy.  Not mean, just playful.  With a little patience and training he will learn some manners but he should not be in a family with little kids. He loves everyone and gets along with other dogs great but Zeus doesn’t like cats. He is housetrained which is a bonus!

More info on Zeus & how to adopt him right here: https://rescuecharliesfriends.org/#dog-of-the-week

This week’s adoptable Dog of the Week from Rescue Charlie’s Friends is Nova, a three year old Great Pyrenees / Heeler mix. Here is what Nova’s Foster in Alabama says about her: “She is HOUSETRAINED and knows Sit, Shake, Down, and Rollover.
Her previous owner stated she was dog selective, but I tested her with two dogs and she did great! But to be on the very safe side, we are recommending she be the only dog in the home. She lived with a cat in her previous home. She’s a little afraid of men but does warm up, she’s much more relaxed around women. She’s well behaved, calm, well mannered, and ladylike.
She truly is the perfect girl.”

Nova will be here in December! If you have a place in your heart for this sweet girl, check out more info on how to adopt her here: https://rescuecharliesfriends.org/#dog-of-the-week

This week’s featured adoptable doggy is Bear, a six year old Chihuahua mix. He’s good with other dogs and is a very sweet little boy. He was unfortunately abused by a man and is now fearful of men. Bear would love to be apart of your family! Visit https://rescuecharliesfriends.org/ for more information & to adopt Bear!

Thanks for coming in, guys!
