Adopted, raised on different continents & connected through social media, Samantha & Anaïs believe they are twins separated at birth. The two 25-year-old women live half a world away from each other, and are trying to raise money on Kickstarter so they can find out if they are long-lost twins.
One of the girls, French fashion student Anais Bordier, said she saw Samantha Futerman in a YouTube sketch and said it was like looking into a mirror.
Bordier, who lives in London, did a little research and found out that Futerman — an actress living in Los Angeles — was also a 25-year-old who had been born in South Korea then adopted at a young age.
Bordier went so far as finding Futerman on Facebook and discovered that they have the same birthdate as well.
Futerman explained, “At first glance, I only saw my face staring back from her profile picture. After just a few clicks and a personal message from Anais, I knew I was about to embark on a journey that no one else had ventured before… I was positive that this girl was in fact my biological twin sister.” The two have already started to get to know each other and say they share “a twisted sense of humor, a love of cheese and an apparent Napoleon complex.”
The women are using Kickstarter to try and raise money so they can meet, conduct a DNA test as well as document the whole adventure. Within 15 days of posting their story, they raised almost $35,000. (Yahoo)
