We asked WPOR listeners to suggest some useful apps other than dating and social media.  We got some great suggestions!

• Joe loves Google Measure in place of a tape measure
• Courtney recommends Nature Sounds as a nighttime background sound
• Jon loves Wunderlist to keep lists, make them sharable with family, and check stuff off when it’s done!

Some listener suggestions:

• Cozi is a great app for families! You can make grocery lists, schedules and even your honey do list
• Got milk is same to wonder list but just for groceries and can track prices and estimate total
• 100% the best hiking app for long distance (or on a long distance trail- think Appalachian trail, Grafton Knotch Loop trail and anything in the whites) is GUTHOOK. I can not speak enough about this app!! You can be in Airplane mode it works off GPS but it will tell you exactly where you are on the trail how far you are to the nearest water source the nearest shelter the nearest road really anything at that you would need. It will also give you elevation gain or loss, pictures of what the shelters look like and things you may need to know. People can also write in to let you know things like if the shelter doesn’t on have water or if the area around it is muddy or if there are bears in the area just things you would like to know.
